Referrals Services now available!

FAA opened its referral services clinic on October 19, 2011. 

This is a referral service clinic that will offer referral services for Latin Americans who need access to social services. The referral services will be offered in Spanish and English by a social worker who understands Latin American culture.

What does the clinic do?

FAA can provide referrals and associated resources in various areas of need. For example,

• Filling out forms
• Food Bank
• Counselling
• Immigration
• Education
• Alberta Workers
• Housing
• Other

FAA does not offer counselling, home visitations, or outreach at this time.

Who is this for? 

The services are available to all Latin Americans in Edmonton, regardless of their nationality, family status (single or family), or citizenship status (Canadian, temporary foreign worker, etc.).

How much does it cost? 

FAA is a non-profit organization, and the referral services are offered free of charge.

How can I get the services?

Phone FAA to discuss whether has the resources to help you with your problem.  Call FAA's social worker at 780-680-4743 or email Familia.referrals@gmail.com.  You can call 7 days per week.

FAA meets clients by appointment only.  All appointments are held at Clareview, 600A Hermitage Road, Edmonton. Office hours are Wednesdays and Fridays, 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Greetings from Familia Association

In 2006, a group of people came together to help Latin Americans in Edmonton.  FAA was registered as a society in 2006.

FAA's vision is that

"Latin Americans are members of healthy families and thriving communities"

FAA's mission is:

"To help individuals of Latin American heritage to build capacity and get connected so they can empower themselves, their families, the Latin American community, and society overall.

FAA will do this by providing a safe place and confidential help in a neutral way, without regard to national, religious or political affiliation."
